Mirror, mirror, on the wall..

Unless you've been living under a rock in a very cold, quiet place you heard about Susan Boyle.  I originally saw her on a friend's newsfeed on Facebook saying not to judge a book by a cover.  I clicked the link, watched the Youtube video, and had chills and my eyes burned.

The backlash I heard were all along the lines of people just EXPECTING a backlash, that she has a tarnished past, already had a record deal, etc.  Who the hell cares?  NOW I tuned into Extra tonight before my daily dose of Scot and I heard people being upset because she's cleaning up, trimming the brows (Thank the LORD!!!!), taking a step fashion foreward.  WHAT?  Why is that even an isusue???

I, for one, have been loving seeing Susan Boyle all over the news and how Ashton dumbass Kutcher is donating 10,000 mosquito nets because he won the Twitter race.  This news is all silly but I'd rather hear about this than pirates invading ships, President Obama (ILY President Obama!) shaking hands with Hugo Chaves, or rape and murder trials.  Little happy pieces of news like that warms my cold, lonely heart.

And back to Boyle and her makeover.  Good for fucking her!  And I'm THRILLED to hear she has kissed a guy, scandals arise!  My passion in this world is making women pretty!  I've worked in cosmetics and I loved it for the most part.  Nothing I loved more is getting a hot mess in my chair and having them walking away a new, HAPPIER woman.  Yeah, it's superfical, but really.. It's empowering to know you look good.  It's empowering to give women the power to give them this confidance back.  I've worked with mentally disabled people, I've planted trees, I've given blood, I've recylced but I found the most satisfaction in giving certain women makeovers.  This is how I give back.

I just ordered $60 worth of products from a drugstore online... I'm pretty pumped.  Queen Helene, some teeth whitening trays, some oils, Epson salt, etc.  What are your favorite beauty secrets & products?
